In 1958, AO developed the Flight Goggle 58, now known as the Original Pilot Sunglass (or OPS) for the U.S. Air Force. More than 45 years have passed and the AO Original Pilot Sunglasses remain the top preference of pilots due to its maximum protection, optical performance and comfort.
In fact, AO Original Pilot Sunglass was honored to be the first ever sunglass to be brought up to the moon with the crew of the "Eagle" lunar landing in 1969. It was subsequently featured in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
